North Central Electric Cooperative offers low interest Energy Resources Conservation (ERC) loans. This loan can be used for weatherization improvements, such as new windows or doors, insulation, caulking and weatherstripping. The loan can also be used for replacing your old fuel oil or propane heating system with an energy efficient electric heating system.
The ERC loan is made at 5% interest, and is repaid on your monthly electric bill. You can borrow up to $1,000 for weatherization improvements and up to $3,000 for a new electric heating system. The $3,000 amount is the maximum amount for an ERC loan. Consumers must have a good credit rating with the cooperative to qualify for the loan.
